Our COP 17 gift to the Citizens of Durban

30 November, 2011

We are wonderfully Green now. Since researching for the Victor Daitz, Jewish National Fund of South Africa Ecological Education Centre we have learnt so much, we will seperate, bio digest for cooking, solar for heating and electricity, rain harvest
grow correctly, natural light. Our displays will align with the school curriculum. They will be designed with Durban Solid Waste and hopefully Ethekwini Water and others active in environment management
The site is now open. All stakeholders attended the sod turning last week. All of them spoke so well about their role in the development of this centre. Poured with rain. Supposed to be a sign of good luck. Hope the fairies are listening.
I Can’t wait to see the first bus load of children arrive.
It is so good to feel part of the action around COP 17. This in itself has been a huge learning experience. Hope everyone has enjoyed the action as much as I have.
